Sobeq

Drawing from the mythology of Sobek, ancient god of the Nile and protector of royal power, the Sobeq Dining Table renders the crocodile as a monumental structural bearer. Cast in statuary bronze and finished with a deep antique patina, the crouching form is articulated with finely detailed scales and selectively accented in restrained 18K champagne-gold PVD. A round smoked tempered glass top rests above, laser-etched with a concentric vortex and inlaid with genuine 18K gold leaf, evoking the Nile’s swirling, life-giving currents. Both fierce and ceremonial, the work translates ancient ritual symbolism into a contemporary language of material gravity, precision craftsmanship, and collectible design.
